World of delight in the eye of the beholder

Ydo Sol

Outside he captures the spray of the surf with his camera – inside he focuses his photographic eye with passion on the lime foam on the scallop. At other times he takes the viewer into a dreamlike mountain world or shows the concentrated face of a person immersed in work. Ydo Sol has been a food, lifestyle and people photographer for over 20 years, has traveled a lot around the world for major magazines and chefs and has developed his very own empathetic, humorous yet artistic style.

The gastronomy and hotel industry developed into the personal hobbyhorse of the Westphalian, who has particularly set his heart on the Söl’ring Hof on Sylt. Many atmospheric pictures of the landscape, the thatched roof house and the people there were taken here. And the fascination doesn’t stop: the right light or the perfect motif could appear before his eyes in the next minute!

Elissavet Patrikiou

Lively goes with cooking, right? But this expression also describes “Eli” just as accurately. When she whirls around the rooms with her iPhone camera, it immediately becomes human. Elissavet Patrikiou is a native Greek – perhaps her Hellenic roots also explain her preference for “good food and hospitality”.

However, they are more interested in the people behind it than the dish on the plate. That’s why her photos never seem staged, but instead she aims to capture a fleeting but intense moment in a split second. Elissavet lives in Hamburg as a freelance photographer and author with a focus on food, reportage and people.

Vivi D'angelo

One of her books is called “Adventure Taste” – but it could just as easily describe a large part of her entire work! The native Italian is restlessly looking for the unusual moments that life has to offer. She travels a lot, is at home in the world and approaches work with an unconventional attitude.

Her photos also reflect this, because she dares to take a special look at nature and uses her camera to discover what food and food can mean today. Whether modern food trends, such as bowls & co, or archaic topics, such as hunting and meat: Vivi simply doesn’t fit into any category and that’s what makes working with her so exciting and inspiring! As a freelance photographer, she lives in Munich and all over the world.

Boris Breuer

A double B in the initials, a double P in the portfolio: Boris Breuer. In front of his lens: celebrities and productions for major brands and media. The Cologne artist conveys all of his artistic power and expressiveness into his pictures and skilfully plays with light, colors and backgrounds. Versatile and with an express special feature, he captures the character of “people” photography with a skillful twist.

This is also supported by the list of prominent models from the acting and TV scene who have already posed in front of his camera. Although: It doesn’t actually apply to posing, because the photographer is more interested in the closeness. But the freelance photo artist is also responsible for interior shoots and large campaigns.

Sven Schomburg

Photography requires a lot of passion. Very much! Why? Because the path to this profession is usually so vague and blurry at the beginning, like a blurry picture. But then those who fall for it continually raise their profile, stick with it and become the masters of their craft. The photographic portfolio of Sven Schomburg from Hamburg is also evidence of a commitment to himself to do what he really loves. Photography requires a lot of passion. Very much! Why?
